Preparatory Meeting of The Global Fund's Sixth Replenishment
07 – 08 February 2019 – New Delhi: The Global Fund organized a preparatory meeting for Global Fund’s sixth replenishment. The session was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri J P Nadda, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, India Hon’ble Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs, India, HE Prof. Agnes Buzyn, Minister of Solidarity and Health, France among other representatives of participating countries and Heads of Organizations and was attended by 400+ delegates including 180 international participants 7 Health Ministers of participating countries.
A Welcome Reception showcasing the colors of India through cultural dance performances was hosted by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI and the Heads of Delegation dinner was hosted by The Global Fund.
Over the 2 days of the conference, an exhibition area was set up wherein partner agencies of the Government of India, UN & private sector showcased their important works and progress in the fight against TB, Malaria and HIV through digital e-booths and stalls.
